Just a short time after the young actress Emma Watson, whom we know mostly from the movie “Harry Potter” as the gifted student, Hermione, posted on her personal Instagram page a post in support of the Palestinian people, now Hollywood actors are joining, and going out against Israel.
A cultural organization called “Artists for Palestine” released a statement of support for the young actress a few days ago, and the same document was signed by more than forty Hollywood stars, including some well-known actors, such as Susan Sarandon, Mark Raffaello, Gal Garcia, Ken Loach, Vigo Mortensen, Jim Jarmusch, and more.
‘We join Emma Watson in her statement that solidarity is a necessity. “This, we feel sympathy for our Palestinian brethren, who are fighting for their rights, under struggle and international law,” they wrote. The organization actually accuses the Israeli government of imbalance and injustice with the Palestinian Authority, along with racism and military force.
As you may recall, the Watson post in question, which is known as a human rights activist, managed to provoke quite a stir across the network. In the post, the actress attached a picture from a demonstration in which Palestinian flags are hoisted, in which she wrote: “Solidarity means that we are all struggling the same. Our pain is the same. And also hope. Therefore, there is a need for commitment, and an attempt to live in peace on the same land. ‘
