After being treated at the hospital following the accident that caused the left side of his face to burn, host Jay Leno was released to his home and posted his first photo since the injury. Leno’s doctor, Dr. Peter Grossman, said that he is satisfied with the star’s progress and that he believes he will make a full recovery in a few weeks.
As I recall, the accident in question happened ten days ago, when Leno was badly burned in the face. The incident occurred when one was handling one of his vehicles, while fuel splashed on his face, ignited, and thus caught fire. On the same day, it was reported that Leno was taken to the hospital after being pulled out from under his car while he was suffering from serious burns on his face.
According to reports, Leno’s injury is rated between second and third degree. “Some of the burns on the face were more severe and some less so. We are treating him and, if necessary, surgical intervention will also be used,” said the attending physician. A few days later, Leno was reported to be in good condition, even joking and walking around the hospital.
