Heidenheim and Hamburger SV remain on course Bundesliga

by time news

AThanks to the four goals from attacker Tim Kleindienst, 1. FC Heidenheim has climbed back to the promotion relegation place in the second Bundesliga. The 27-year-old scored his team’s first four goals in the 5-0 (3-0) win over 1. FC Nürnberg on Sunday (19/23/39/81 minutes). Kleindienst thus scored ten times in the past six games against the “Club”, who were decimated from the 33rd minute. Marnon Busch scored the fifth goal of the afternoon (86′).

In the table, Heidenheim overtook SC Paderborn again, who had won against Kaiserslautern on Friday. After 21 match days, the Franconians still have relegation worries. The advantage over 16th place is only two points.

Kleindienst was there for the first time after 19 minutes because Jan Gyamerah was unlucky to clear. The striker also benefited from an individual error in his second goal. This time Jens Castrop made a mistake and the scorer was left alone at the far post to make it 3-0. At this point, Nuremberg were already outnumbered after Enrico Valentini saw the red card after kicking Jan-Niklas Beste.

Far too few came from the guests even after the change of sides. The Heidenheimer managed the lead before Kleindienst added again. He was substituted immediately afterwards. But FCH didn’t have enough, Busch also took advantage of Nuremberg’s loss of the ball.

Karlsruhe wins neighborhood duel

Karlsruher SC has continued its upward trend and has gained more air in the relegation battle. Coach Christian Eichner’s team also deservedly won 3-0 (1-0) against the new table bottom SV Sandhausen.

Jerome Gondorf (8th), Mikkel Kaufmann (52nd) and Fabian Schleusener (73rd) scored for Baden, who, after the liberation against Spielvereinigung Greuther Fürth (2-1) in the previous week, brought in the next important success – the situation in the table cellar remains tense. For SV Sandhausen, who slipped to the bottom of the table after Jahn Regensburg won a point on Saturday, it was their fourth competitive defeat in a row.

Karlsruhe got off to a better start: Gondorf reacted the quickest after a low cross and pushed in to take the lead. At Sandhausen nothing went forward for a long time. That changed when Alexander Esswein scored (49′), but goals were scored again by Karlsruhe. At the end of an attack worth seeing, Kaufmann struck from the back, Schleusener increased against the hosts who had no chance.

Hamburg secures second place

Hamburger SV is in good form going into the top game next Saturday against leaders SV Darmstadt 98. The runners-up from the Hanseatic city won their home game against Arminia Bielefeld 2-1 (1-0) on Sunday. Ludovit Reis (26th) and Bakery Jatta (57th) scored for the North Germans. Bastian Oczipka (51st) scored the equaliser. The guests remain stuck on the relegation place.

Both teams barely needed a run-up to get into the game. After a corner, the referee took back Arminen’s supposed lead after the intervention of the video assistant. Frederik Jäkel was clearly offside when he finished in the 13th minute. After a game by Jonas Meffert against Sebastian Vasiliadis in the penalty area (20th), VAR decided again against the guests and denied a possible penalty.

The Hamburgers had more luck with their leadership. Reis’ shot was deflected by Guilherme Ramos. Bielefeld came out of the break confident and rewarded himself. HSV keeper Daniel Heuer Fernandes was able to fend off Fabian Klos’ ball, but he had no chance against Oczipka’s follow-up shot.

Hamburg countered immediately, but Laszlo Benes’ double chance with a free kick on the crossbar and Jonas David in the 53rd minute had no consequences. Jatta did better, converting a wide cross from Jean-Luc Dompé directly. Bielefeld tried a lot and created a few good opportunities. But it was no longer enough to win a point with the favorites. In added time, the video assistant refused to recognize an alleged penalty by Hamburg. But that had no consequences.
