Entrepreneur Stanislav V. started running a well-visited bar and disco in the center of Hejnice some time ago. His friend and martial arts instructor Jan H. started a joint business with him. But he began to suspect his friend of robbing him of money. He should have threatened him.
“He told me that it’s not a problem to find drugs in my bar, or that it’s not a problem to find out where my wife goes to play with the child. And that was the absolute highlight. That’s where all my destructive behavior started.” Jan admitted in court. So he and Stanislav decided to solve the whole matter with physical force.
On the evening of April 12, Jan invited his companion to the cottage, where he allegedly brutally attacked him with fists, elbows, and even a French stick. When Stanislav fell unconscious, Jan tied him to the heater, locked him and disappeared from the cottage. The businessman on the brink of death was saved only by the emergency unit.
According to the expert, Stanislav suffered serious brain injuries. In addition, the nasal bones, eye sockets, ribs and jaw were broken. State representative Petra Pazderková stated that the death did not occur only by coincidence. “I was terribly angry. I admit that at that moment I was spreading only hatred and evil around me,” Jan admitted in court.
The main trial will continue at the beginning of the new year. The injured Stanislav will also testify. For the attempted murder, which, according to the court, Jan H. had thought about for a long time, he faces 12 to 20 years in prison if found guilty.
