Karsten Speck has a turbulent past. The former “Hello Robbie!” star has been sentenced to prison several times for fraud and has also gone through personal bankruptcy and a divorce. A few years ago, the now 64-year-old was also struggling with mental problems.
“During the Corona period, I went to a psychological clinic for five weeks – voluntarily,” says Karsten Speck in an interview with “Bunte” magazine. About the reasons he says: “I was very far away from myself, found everything mundane. There was a sadness and emptiness in me. It was not a severe depression, but a melancholy.”
In the clinic he “wanted to get to know each other more intensively and feel what was essential within him,” adds Karsten Speck. He learned a lot there, he remembers: “I felt that I could pull myself out of the mire by my own means. And I realized that I was not seriously ill and that I had great powers of self-healing. My best therapy is work .”
The TV star, who has been appearing regularly on television since August in the Sat.1 series “Die Spreewaldklinik”, is additionally supported by his new partner Katrin. “I’ve been approached by countless women, some of whom I really loved. Today I know: It’s more complicated, but also more meaningful, to spend ten years with one woman than to have ten women in one year. Stability in love is important to me.
