My name is Sanne Brilstra and I have a service dog called Silla. Normally I would never ask for money or anything and I also feel guilty about it. But it’s about my service dog. My service dog saves my life every day❤️
And unfortunately she is sick… very…
She has been sick for the past month. She started eating less and less and we have already been to the vet 6 times. There she has had 2 blood tests and multiple ultrasounds. At first they thought it was pancreatitis, but it wasn’t. Our own vet couldn’t help more. So we were forwarded to a specialist an hour and a half later.
We went there today. Another ultrasound showed that Silla’s intestines are seriously inflamed… Now it’s time to wait again. Because we don’t know the cause. First we need to know if her intestinal inflammation is internal or external. They took blood again for that. If it is internal then there are a few reasons for it including a food allergy that got out of hand or chronic disease… The costs so far have already risen to over 1000
Silla is now on a diet to rule out whether it is a food allergy. If nothing comes out of this, she’ll need a scope with biopsy. Those costs go up to 1500.
Unfortunately, I cannot pay all these costs myself. I can’t work because of my limitations and they are still taking my benefits. I really hope you will share my story and maybe even give something. It would mean an awful lot to me. My service dog is my everything and I can’t live without her
