Dongkuk Pharmaceutical (Chairman Kwon Ki-beom) delivered donations raised through the ‘Walking Donation Campaign’ to the ‘Comprehensive Support Center for the Elderly Living Alone (Director Kim Hyun-mi)’ under the Ministry of Health and Welfare.
The handover ceremony held at Dongkuk Pharmaceutical’s Cheongdam office building in Gangnam-gu, Seoul on the 16th of last month was attended by officials from both sides, including Kim Hyun-mi, director of the Comprehensive Support Center for the Elderly Living Alone, and Park Hyeok, director of Dongkuk Pharmaceutical’s OTC Business Division.
The donation delivered on this day was raised through the ‘Walking Donation Campaign with Dongkuk Pharmaceutical’, which was held for a month in August, and will be used to cover medical expenses for the treatment of leg diseases of vulnerable senior citizens.
The Walking Dongkuk Pharmaceutical Campaign, which has been conducted every year since 2022 in conjunction with the Comprehensive Support Center for the Elderly Living Alone and the mobile healthcare platform ‘WalkOn’, is a social contribution activity linked to Dongkuk Pharmaceutical’s venous circulation disorder symptom improvement drug ’Sensia‘. It was planned to encourage walking, one of the good habits for preventing and managing venous circulation disorders, and to help vulnerable seniors suffering from leg diseases. More than 26,000 people participated in this campaign, far exceeding the goal of 1 billion steps. Achieved 59 billion steps.
