Former US Secretary of State Henry Kissinger said that the second Cold War would be more dangerous than the first.

In response to the Spanish newspaper EL Mundo, to a question about whether the second Cold War was more dangerous than the first, Kissinger said: “Yes.”

And the former US minister warned that a new cold war might start between China and the United States.

Kissinger expressed his belief that both countries have similar economic resources, which was not the case during the first Cold War.

According to Kissinger, China and the United States have now turned into rivals, and it is not permissible to wait for China to turn towards the West.

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, during a meeting with Kissinger, previously said that the start of a “new cold war” between China and the United States would be a disaster for the entire world.

He stressed the need for the states to return to a rational and pragmatic policy towards China, and to the right track while adhering to the three joint communiqués between China and the United States, and maintaining the political foundation of Sino-US relations.
