The members of the government met this Tuesday, October 31, 2023 in the Council of Ministers. Several decisions were taken in the presence of Head of State Patrice Talon.
NORMAL MEASURES
■ Adoption of decrees relating to: transmission to the National Assembly for examination and vote, of the bill relating to the fight against money laundering, the financing of terrorism and the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction;
■ Designation of the Authority for control and supervision of the real estate sector in the fight against money laundering, the financing of terrorism and the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction;
■ Modification of the statutes of the National Domain and Land Agency;
■ Appointment of auditors to certain public companies;
■ Modification of Decree No. 2022-073 of February 9, 2022 relating to the conditions and procedures for issuing approvals for the manufacture and importation of tobacco, its derivatives and assimilated products in the Republic of Benin.
COMMUNICATIONS
■ Rehabilitation of photovoltaic solar street lights and conventional street lights;
■ Contracting for the execution, control and monitoring of works as part of the strengthening of the Drinking Water Supply System in the Akpakpa and Agblangandan area;
■ Contracting for the construction of 253 social and economic housing units in Parakou;
■ Contracting for the architectural and technical studies of the development project for the southwest bank of the Cotonou lagoon and the Xwlacodji district in the city of Cotonou.
INDIVIDUAL MEASUREMENTS
Appointments to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs at the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries.
