Here, German logisticians are building the Putin-free route to China

by time news

“The unfortunate war in Ukraine is a tailwind for the expansion of the middle corridor,” says Tobias Bartz, head of the Westphalian logistics company Rhenus. The company has been active in the region for more than two decades and has almost 500 employees at 39 locations in Kazakhstan, Georgia and Turkey. The company is investing almost 50 million euros in crane systems and space at the terminal on the Kazakh border with China alone.

But it’s not just about transports between China and Europe, emphasizes Bartz. His goal is also to open up a market with over 90 million “well educated people”. They want to live, work and travel better. This requires above all goods and roads.
