Disney + released the first
image of the new live action feature film Pinocchiowhich will debut exclusively on the streaming platform in September.
Directed by Academy Award winner Robert ZemeckisPinocchio revisits in a live action the beloved story of a wooden puppet who embarks on an exciting adventure to become a real child. Tom Hanks interpreta Geppettothe wood carver who builds and takes care of Pinocchio (Benjamin Evan Ainsworth) as if he were her son. Joseph Gordon-Levitt is the Jiminy Cricket, guide of Pinocchio as well as his “conscience”; the Oscar nominee Cynthia Erivo is the Blue Fairy; Keegan-Michael Key is the Fox; Oscar nominee Lorraine Bracco is Sofia the Seagull, a new character; Luke Evans is the Postillion.
The film is produced by Robert Zemeckis, Derek Hogue, Andrew Miano, Chris Weitz and Paul Weitz, while Jackie Levine, Jack Rapke, Alexandra Derbyshire and Jeremy Johns are executive producers.
