Pending the official unveiling of the Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro phones, the full technical data sheet for the two devices has been leaked. In the program, the best technology available in the market.


While we expected to see the arrival of Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro on December 1, The launch was finally delayed due to national mourning in China. So we will have to wait until next week, but in the meantime, we know almost everything about the two smartphones. The leaked technical sheet promises to be a significant upgrade over the previous models.

First, both the Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro have The new Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip from Qualcomm. It is powered by LPDDR5X RAM and next generation UFS 4.0 storage. Unlike the previous generation, this time the two smartphones have IP68 certification for water and dust resistance, and both benefit from the same photo partnership with Leica specialist.

Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro want to dominate the Android smartphone market

The Xiaomi 13 will have a 6.36-inch screen with FHD + 120Hz resolution. The latter also has the peculiarity of being flat, and offers the thinnest borders ever on a smartphone. For its part, the Xiaomi 13 Pro features a 6.73-inch QHD+ 120Hz LTPO 3.0 curved display and is bright, peaking at 1900 nits. Both phones use Samsung E6 OLED technology, which promises to be more energy efficient.

Xiaomi 13 will be equipped with a 4,500mAh battery with 67W wired fast charging, while the 13 Pro will rely on 120W power and a combined 4820mAh. Xiaomi has already announced that its smartphones will have more autonomy than phones iPhone 14 Pro Max from Apple.

On the photo side, the two smartphones are equipped with 3 sensors. 13 Pro inherits the 1-inch 50MP IMX989 main sensor from Xiaomi 12S Ultra. It is accompanied by the ultra wide angle JN1, and the telephoto JN1 which provides 3.26X optical zoom. The latter is optically stable, and also allows you to take macro shots.

While Xiaomi will use 13 50MP IMX800 main sensor, a 12MP wide-angle lens, and a 10MP Samsung S5K3K1 telephoto lens (like the Galaxy S22) that is optically stabilized, providing 3.2X magnification. So the smartphone has finally abandoned the not-so-useful macro sensor. Finally, we can notice that Xiaomi has updated its front sensor with a 32MP IMX709 RGBW camera, which will finally improve smartphone selfies.
