The Bundesliga continues with matchday 26 and Bayer Leverkusen is a guest at SC Freiburg. Not an easy task for head coach Xabi Alonso’s team, who had to do everything they could in the Europa League against Agdam until the night game in order to progress and must have left their strength.
“We are going into the upcoming Bundesliga game in a good starting position. It’s the last game before the international break and we’ve done well so far. Now we want to end this block with a win, it won’t be easy against Freiburg,” said Alonso at the press conference before the game at SC Freiburg.
“I know Freiburg. They know how to play well and be dominant. They play very confidently, know what to do and are particularly strong in standard situations. The opponent plays intelligently, so we have to control a lot and be ready for every scenario,” continued the Leverkusen coach.
