How to repost an Instagram story
- Open the Instagram app on your smartphone and tap the story you want to repost.
- Tap the airplane icon at the bottom right of the story.
- Select “Share to your story.”
- Customize the story to your liking, for example by adding stickers, text or filters.
- Confirm sharing the story using the button provided.
The reposted story will now appear in your own profile. The name of the original creator is also displayed. When your followers tap the name, Instagram will redirect them to their profile.
When can you repost an Instagram story?
Instagram doesn’t allow you to repost any story. There are some conditions for using this feature:
- The creator must have tagged you in their story.
- The story must be public. This means the creator must have a public profile.
