jpnn.comJAKARTA – The Prabowo-Gibran National Campaign Team (TKN) has responded to the dismissal of KPU Chairman Hasyim Asyari by the Indonesian Election Organizer Honorary Council (DKPP) regarding the immoral case against Cindra Aditi Tejakinkin (CAT), a member of PPLN Den Haag, Netherlands.
Deputy Chairperson of the Prabowo-Gibran TKN, Silfester Matutina, appreciated the DKPP for giving the sanction of dismissal to Hasyim Asyari.
“Kasmi appreciates what the DKPP has done, because it is in accordance with applicable procedures, laws, ethics and morals,” he said in a statement received in Jakarta, Friday (5/7).
He assessed that the DKPP’s decision was very appropriate, balanced, and proved that anyone who makes a mistake must be punished according to what they have done.
According to him, the DKPP’s decision also proves that President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) does not support the KPU and the Constitutional Court during the 2024 Election.
“So far, many people have said that there is ‘interference’ by Mr. Jokowi in the KPU and the Constitutional Court. Yesterday it was proven that President Jokowi in this case did not back up the KPU Chairman,” he said.
According to Silfester, despite the success of the last election, there were personal problems with the KPU Chairman that violated the rules, ethics and morals.
He believes that Hasyim’s dismissal as KPU Chairman will not affect the Simultaneous Regional Elections in November 2024.
