The Council of Ministers met this Wednesday, April 19, 2023, under the chairmanship of President Patrice Talon. To this end, decisions have been taken. Here is the full report.
I- REGULATORY MEASURES.
Under this heading, the decree relating to the index staggering in the ranks of the corps of water, forestry and hunting personnel was adopted.
II- COMMUNICATIONS.
Compensation of people affected by the implementation of Benin’s Sustainable and Secure Access to Electricity Project.
As part of the implementation of this project, the “Sustainable and Secure Access to Electricity” component plans to achieve a national electrification rate of 75% by 2025, at a rate of 50% in rural areas and 90% in urban areas.
The infrastructure to be built consists in particular of the construction of transmission lines or stations in certain departments and will affect several private properties.
It is for this reason that the Council has given its agreement to the compensation of the people identified and instructed the ministers concerned to ensure the proper conduct of the related operations.
III- INTERNATIONAL MEETINGS AND EVENTS.
It has been authorized the participation of Benin, from May 8 to 13, 2023 in Windhoek, Namibia, at the 10th conference on teaching and learning and at the 12th round table of the African Federation of Educational Regulatory Agencies .
