Hero MotoCorp Teases Upcoming Xtreme 160R Model: Specs, Features, and Expected Price in India

Hero MotoCorp has released a teaser for its new Xtreme 160R model.

By selling affordable vehicles in the Indian automobile market, Hero MotoCorb has made a name for itself among the customers. Hero Moto Corp, the leader in the Indian bike market, has been introducing new models in its expansion drive. In that vein, even at the end of last year, Hero MotoCorp launched the Expels 200T 4V motorcycle. Following that, it is currently planning to launch a new model of motorcycle in the Indian market. Hero MotoCorp has been releasing related teasers from time to time.

Hero Extreme 160R:

Accordingly, the new Hero Xtreme 160R model will be launched in India on June 14. In view of that, the currently released teaser video has revealed various information regarding the major updates of the new Extreme 160R model bike. According to the teaser video, the new Xtreme 160R model features an adjustable mono shock unit at the rear and upside-down front forks. Along with this, it has been revealed that the new Hero Xtreme 160R model will be offered with a four-valve engine.

Highlights:

For braking, the new Xtreme 160R model comes with petal type disc brakes. It also offers single channel ABS. Upon launch, the new Xtreme 160R will rival the likes of the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V and the Bajaj Pulsar NS160. As the main frame will undergo some changes, the weight of the bike is likely to go up. It is expected to feature Bluetooth support, taking on competitors like the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V and the Yamaha FZS-FI.

Engine Details:

Earlier, Hero MotoCorp had changed the valve set-up in Expels 200 and Expels 200T engines. A similar update is expected for the 160R 4V model as well. The current Hero Xtreme 160R model is powered by a 163cc, air-cooled engine. It churns out 15 HP of power and 14 Nm of torque.

Price Details:

Currently, the Hero Xtreme 160R model on sale is priced between Rs 1.18 lakh and Rs 1.30 lakh. All this is said to increase the price by around Rs 8,000-10,000 with the launch of the new Extreme 160R in the coming months.
