Herzliya beat Ashdod at the end of the 1st round

The first round of the Handball Premier League ended today (Friday) with several surprises. Herzliya beat the champion Ashdod, Hapoel Ramat Gan got points against Kiryat Ono and in another game Maccabi Rashlat and Holon drew.

Now the first six (the leader Hapoel Rashlat, AS Ramat Hasharon, Maccabi Rashlat, Bnei Herzliya, Hapoel Ashdod and MK Holon) will compete in two rounds of games for the ranking that will determine the playoffs, in which they have all guaranteed their participation. The two leaders, Ramat Hasharon and Herzliya secured their place in the quarterfinals of the State Cup.

In the lower house, the last 6 will compete (A.K. Nes Ziona, Maccabi Kiryat Motzkin, Hapoel Kiryat Ono, ASA Tel Aviv, Hapoel Habel Eilot and Hapoel RG, the leader of the table) will also compete. Hapoel Ashdod – Bnei Herzliya 32:29
A top game in which Herzliya came back from behind and turned around after close minutes, including 16:17 at halftime. The Herzliians closed the first round with a score of 3:8.

Hapoel Rashalz – Maccabi Kiryat Motzkin 29:36
The Reds finished the first round on top and led 13:17 at halftime in a very good game. Oleg Astrashpekin led the way with 8, while Philip Laiovich and Ofek Turgeman stood out for Motzkin.
