Immediately after the assassination of former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, who was killed by 41-year-old Tetsuya Yagami during an election rally, an incident involving Hideo Kojima occurred. A photo by the author of Metal Gear Solid e Death Stranding it was published in the media as belonging to the killer, and went around the world starting on national TV. Kojima Productions, Kojima’s company, has issued an official statement in which it says it is opposed by the extent of the fake news and has threatened legal action against those who continue to spread the false news. It is ironic how often in Kojima’s games there is talk of the negative significance of bogus information: the whole Metal Gear Solid 2released in 2001, is based on this complaint.
