High alert mode introduced in Volgograd and Voronezh regions

The authorities of two regions of Russia announced the introduction of a high alert regime on February 19 in connection with the evacuation of residents of Donbass to Russia. Earlier, the Rostov region introduced a high alert regime, which then announced the start of the emergency regime in connection with the influx of refugees.

The decision to introduce a high alert regime on the territory of the Volgograd region was made at an operational meeting, the regional government reports.

“To organize work on the reception of refugees, there is an operational headquarters under the administration of the Volgograd region. Work is underway to prepare temporary accommodation points,” the statement said.

A similar decision was made by the authorities of the Voronezh region, the decree on the introduction of a high alert regime is posted on the page of the official publication of regulatory legal acts.

“Events in the DPR and LPR cannot remain aloof from the Voronezh region. If necessary, we are ready to provide comprehensive assistance to neighbors. A few years ago, we all showed special responsiveness, humanity and sympathy for Voronezh residents. If necessary, we will do the same now, providing support at a decent level, ”the government’s official page on social networks also says.

Earlier, the heads of the self-proclaimed DPR and LPR announced a mass evacuation of citizens, referring to Kiev’s plans for a military offensive against uncontrolled territories.

The Rostov region received 5 billion rubles from the federal budget, the funds will be used to provide assistance to those who arrived from the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics. Make lump-sum payments in the amount of 10,000 rubles. On Friday, President Vladimir Putin ordered refugees from the DPR and LPR arriving in Russia in response to an appeal from the governor of the Rostov region.
