In this, Maridas filed a petition in the Madurai branch of the ICC seeking the quashing of the case registered by the Melappalayam police. The petition came up for hearing before Judge GR Swaminathan earlier today. The judge, who then heard the case from both sides, closed the case by ordering the cancellation of the case registered by the Upper Palayam Police against U-Tuber Maridas.
