After three weeks of debate, Parliament is preparing to definitively adopt the second part of the package of measures in favor of purchasing power on Thursday during the last sessions for deputies and senators before the summer break. “A victory for the French”, estimated this Thursday morning on RTL the Minister of the Economy Bruno Le Maire, indicating that the vote for the first part on Wednesday included 20 billion euros in expenditure.

Asked about the exceptional back-to-school bonus, amounting to 100 euros and for which the Senate voted an amendment aimed at replacing it with an increase in the activity bonus, Bruno Le Maire indicated that it would be paid monthly. next September, “to those who need it most”, namely “millions of French people”. “This protective measure should relieve our compatriots in the face of inflation”, supports the Minister.

“Companies have an interest in raising wages”

Inflation which, according to the resident of Bercy, will continue to increase in the coming months: “High inflation, as it is today, will continue to increase until the end of 2022. I I am hopeful that we will see an ebb in inflation at the beginning of 2023, in particular thanks to the rediversification of our supply chains. »

At the same time, the minister again called on “all companies that can” to raise wages. “I repeat, all companies that can, have an interest in raising wages. Many companies have already done so, and that’s good, we will take stock at the end of the year. (…) These wage increases can notably address labor shortages in many sectors of activity,” he explained.
