Medium-sized transport and logistics companies, on the other hand, are bewildered by the fact that the federal government has now decided to double the toll. There is a “mixture of existential worries, anger and perceived disdain for the daily performance of this systemically important industry for supplying the population,” says Dirk Engelhardt, spokesman for the board of the Federal Association of Freight Transport and Logistics (BGL). In a social media campaign, the association shows the federal government the red card.
