Bangalore: A petition filed by students in the Karnataka High Court against the ban on hijab in educational institutions has come to an end. After eleven days of deliberation, the petition was adjourned for judgment. A three-judge bench headed by Chief Justice Rituraj Awasthi directed the petitioners to submit, if any, in writing.
The Karnataka High Court has rejected another petition seeking permission to wear the hijab on Fridays and Ramadan. The High Court dismissed the petition stating that there was no further interim order and that the arguments were for a final order.
