jpnn.comPARIS – Indonesia finally won its first gold medal at the 2024 Paris Paralympics.

Two Indonesian representatives, Hikmat Ramdani-Leani Ratri Oktila and Fredy Setiawan-Khalimatus Sadiyah met at the summit party at the Porte de la Chapelle Arena, Paris, Monday (2/9) noon WIB.

The creation of the All Indonesian Final is a relief because the gold and silver medals are certain to be won.

However, the gold medal fight felt very emotional for the four athletes who competed.

Leani Ratri Oktila couldn’t hold back her tears after securing victory in two straight sets, 21-16, 21-15.

Ratri felt happy, but also sad because she had to dash Khalimatus’ hopes of winning gold.

At the 2020 Paralympics, Leani Ratri and Khalimatus successfully won the gold medal in the women’s doubles SL3 – SU5.

However, at the 2024 Paralympics, the women’s doubles event will not be contested.
