Himanshu Nagpal, resident of Hisar, Haryana, faced many sorrows in his life, but he did not give up and worked hard and became an IAS officer. The story of Himanshu is quite inspirational, who managed himself after the death of his father and brother and passed the UPSC exam with AIR 26.

Many times such incidents happen which change the course of people’s lives. Something similar happened with Himanshu, due to which he became very serious about his studies and stopped only after passing the Civil Services Examination.

Himanshu Nagpal, resident of Hisar, Haryana, studied till intermediate in Hindi medium. He studied in a government school till class 5th, after which he was admitted to a private school.

Himanshu had secured 80% marks in 10th and 97% marks in 12th and then did B.Com Honors from Hansraj College, Delhi University.

When Himanshu Nagpal’s father came to drop him at the time of admission in Hansraj College, after seeing the names of toppers on the bulletin board, he expressed his desire to see Himanshu’s name there.

Shortly after this, Himanshu lost his father in an accident. And then he decided to fulfill his father’s last words.

Cracked UPSC on the basis of self study

A few months after the death of his father, Himanshu’s elder brother also died suddenly. He was devastated after these two accidents, but continued his studies with the support of his mother and uncle.

He did not lose courage and started gathering information about UPSC exam.

Himanshu Nagpal did not take the help of any coaching to pass the IAS exam. In his very first attempt, he passed the UPSC exam at the age of 22 solely on the basis of self-study and secured 26th rank.

Started ‘Mission Muskaan’

Through Mission Muskaan, IAS Himanshu is reuniting many separated children with their families.

Himanshu, who lost his father and brother at an early age, knows very well how a family gets shattered by the departure of a loved one.

Therefore, after becoming an IAS officer, he took an initiative through ‘Mission Muskaan’.

Where he is trying to reunite the children with their families while wandering on the streets, railway stations and bus stands. Under his campaign, he not only rescues destitute children but also takes the responsibility of their care and counselling.

The aim of IAS Himanshu and his team is to reunite the separated children with their families and give them a new life.

IAS Himanshu, who returned the lost smile on the faces of others while fulfilling the responsibilities of an officer, is a true hero of the society and also an inspiration for all of us.
