Hindi cinema shocked by the failure of Akshay Kumar’s films!

Selfie is a remake of Driving License and released in Hindi on 24 February. Akshay Kumar starrer ‘Selfie’ has shocked the box office with a total collection of just Rs.6 crore in two days.

Directed by Mehta, the film stars Akshay Kumar and Emraan Hashmi. Produced by Dharma Productions, the film has collected only Rs 2.55 crore on its first day in theatres.

The success of the film ‘Pathan’ brought a revival in Hindi cinema, which was facing a series of failures. Akshay Kumar starrer Selfie Raj, next to Shah Rukh Khan, has once again shocked the Hindi film industry with its opening day collection, which was expected to lead the way.

The film has collected only Rs 6 Crores in the two days of its release. ‘Selfie’ is the lowest grossing Akshay Kumar film on the first day.

His 2021 release Bellbottom also collected Rs 2.75 crore, but now ‘Selfie’ has topped the list of his films with the lowest opening collection.
