Hindu organizations gather in front of temple to marry lovers: stopped by police

Kumbakonam: On the occasion of Valentine’s Day, a protest was held to get lovers married in Tarasuram Airavatheeswarar Temple, Kumbakonam.

District General Secretary of Hindu People’s Party Dinesh, District President Ravi, District Organizer Arvind, Pushari Assembly District President Karthi and many others participated in the protest.

Hindu People’s Party, Hanuman Sena State General Secretary K. Bala was the leader. They tried to enter the temple with processions, thali, pudhatais, tambulams, coconut, fruit, flowers etc. to marry the lovers who had arrived at the Tarasuram Airavatheeswarar temple today (Tuesday).

Also, they chanted that we will marry lovers who engage in obscene and abominable activities, prevent obscene love, and praise divine love.

Then the police came there and slammed the door of the temple saying, “Since morning, lovers are not allowed to enter, and you are also not allowed to enter.” Later, the Hindu People’s Party participated in a dharna protest there for some time.
