Haddad: His approval of the internal system will hinder the work of partisan life

Watan Al-Youm: Member of Parliament Farid Haddad said, on Tuesday, that the House of Representatives was “hasty” in approving the parliament’s internal rules and the parliamentary code of conduct, noting that this “will hinder the work of partisan life.”
Haddad explained, “I believe that the House of Representatives today, with its hasty approval of the internal system and the code of conduct, will impede the work of partisan life …”, and considered what was approved today “increased militancy and restrictions on the representatives.”
He said that the preparation of the rules of procedure and the code of conduct approved by the House of Representatives on Tuesday, “was not good enough to give sufficient understandings between the representatives.”
The rules of procedure are “the framework through which deputies work under the dome of Parliament and in which the legislative authority communicates with the executive authority and the judiciary,” according to Haddad, who said: “We wanted the reading to be more careful, for all parties to be heard, to take enough time, and not to rush things.”
He said, “We have a very big and sad reservation about the mechanism through which the internal system and code of conduct were approved in the House of Representatives
