A dispute pits a farmer from Vaison-la-Romaine (Vaucluse) against his neighbor, owner of luxury gîtes two kilometers from his farm. The latter estimated that the presence of agricultural machinery constitutes “visual pollution”, reports The Dauphiné Libéré.

Vincent Blanc’s farm, established since 1996, houses equipment essential to his wine-growing activity, but his neighbor considers it an “open-air dump”. In 2020, Vincent Blanc is ordered to remove vehicles and waste, under penalty of a penalty of 200 euros per day of delay.

Judgment fraud

Physically and morally exhausted, the farmer did not attend his trial hearing in January 2022 and was sentenced. In October 2023, a summons requested the liquidation of the penalty of 105,400 euros for this Friday. Vincent Blanc, supported by bailiff’s reports, filed a complaint for judgment fraud.

The neighbor demands the sum, endangering the already struggling operation. The Solidarité paysans association launched a petition in support of the exploitation.
