Kottayam: In Kumaranallur, wife’s house was vandalized in dispute over dowry. The woman’s husband, Santhosh, a native of Thiruvalla Muthur, and a group of gangsters broke into the house. Gandhinagar police registered a case against them. Vijayakumari’s mother’s house was attacked at Pudukkulangara house in Kumaranallur.

The attack took place after Santhosh and his gang reached his wife’s house and lodged a complaint with the Gandhinagar police after they shouted obscenities. The incident happened around 12 pm on Monday. Vijayakumari’s daughter and Santhosh got married a year ago. He gave 35 Pawan as dowry but he threatened to demand more. With this, the woman returned to her home. When the baby is only 27 days old, the husband comes with a gang of gangsters and attacks the house.
