The new film by Steliana Kliri titled “Find me falling” is the first Cypriot film to stream on Netflix. Available on the platform starting today.

The film “Find me falling” (Προσοχή γκρεμός) premieres today on Netflix, marking it as the first Cypriot production to stream on the platform.

This is a romantic comedy and is the latest film by Cypriot director Steliana Kliri.

The film is available worldwide through the Netflix platform starting from Friday, July 19. From the same day, it will also be screened for a few days in Cypriot cinemas.

This is the plot of the film

Coming from a failed album and with his popularity on a downward trend, mature rock star John Olman decides to take a break from his career to regain his spark. He moves to a secluded house near a cliff on the idyllic Mediterranean island of Cyprus, but his dream of maintaining a low profile derails when he encounters desperate souls and later faces even more complicated surprises when an old flame reignites.

According to Philenews.com, the film was shot entirely in Cyprus between Pegeia and Nicosia, with the local company Green Olive Films managing the production. The majority of the crew and cast were from Cyprus, with over 150 people working on the production. “This is definitive proof that Cyprus is capable of producing world-class films for an international audience, and that the world wants to hear our stories,” said Steliana Kliri.

The film was written, directed, and produced by South African-Cypriot director alongside American producers Steven Shapiro and Keith Arnold, featuring award-winning Emmy and Grammy actor and singer Harry Connick Jr., Agni Scott, Ali Fumiko Whitney, Tony Dimitriou, Lea Maleni, Angeliki Philippidou, Athina Roditou, and Clarence Smith.
