Real estate worth almost 24 billion euros was sold in Berlin last year. This emerges from the preliminary report of the expert committee for property values, which was published on Wednesday. The sales amount is a new record. For the first time since reunification, houses, apartments and land of such value changed hands. The last high in sales on the real estate market dates back to 2019, shortly before the start of the corona pandemic and the start of the rent cap, when real estate worth 21.7 billion euros was sold in Berlin.
