They also attended more than 250,000 patients with more than a million and a half procedures such as laboratory and cabinet exams, surgeries and emergency services.

In this reopening ceremony of the auditorium, in the context of the activities for the 118th Anniversary of the founding of the General Hospital of MexicoGuerrero Avendaño maintained that the love and respect for life on the part of the staff has led to positioning it as the largest in Latin America.

Prior to the ceremony, the head of the Public Charity Patrimony Administration (APBP) of the Ministry of Health, Adrián Benítez Ruiz, delivered 500 hospital beds to the director of the hospital.

Benítez Ruiz stressed that, for more than a century, the APBP has delivered knee and hip prostheses, pacemakers, intraocular lenses, as well as medical equipment such as mammograms, radiant heat cradles and echocardiographs, among others.

Likewise, the plastic exhibition “Los espectros del corazón” was inaugurated, which is open to the public from February 17 to March 3 in the hospital’s Multiple Use Room.
