by time news

An anonymous person has bought a watch believed to have been used by Adolf Hitler, who was one of the most brutal dictators the world has ever seen, at an auction. The price of the watch has fallen to Rs 8.69 crore. The Huber watch was engraved with the swastika symbol and the English letters AH. The auction was organized by Alexander Historical Auction House, Merivaland, USA.

Meanwhile, the Jewish community condemned the auction. After the auction information became public, objections were raised from many quarters. But the company explained that Nazi symbols and historical documents have been auctioned before and that their only goal is to preserve history.

The watch was recovered by French forces from Hitler’s holiday home in Bavaria, Berghof, in 1945. Later it passed through many hands. Also up for auction are Hitler’s wife Eva Braun’s gown and shirts with the Jude stamp worn to identify Jews.
