A wristwatch of the Nazi tyrant, Adolf Hitler, was sold today (Saturday) at an auction in the United States, for 1.1 million dollars. According to the catalog at the auction house, this is a watch that was apparently given to Hitler as a birthday present in 1933, the year he became Chancellor of Germany.

Jewish leaders came out against the auction, which took place in the northern US state of Maryland, and included several other items related to the Nazis, including a dress that belonged to Eva Braun, Hitler’s wife. The auction house, which has sold items belonging to the Nazis in the past, told the German media that their intention was to “keep history”.
