Participants’ enthusiasm for original clothing design
A lineup filled with Locke’s special features… Bold sophistication stands out
An event to celebrate the collaboration between H&M and Korean designer brand Roque was held on the 12th at Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) in Seoul.
Domestic and foreign stars including Seol In-ah, Twice’s Mina and Chaeyoung, actor Yoo Teo, and model Shin Hyun-ji attended the event. On site, the collaborative process was conveyed through analog film and digital screens, creating an immersive experience. The atmosphere was then lifted with a performance by artist CL and DJing by model and DJ Anna Kim.
Locke, led by Korean designer Hwang Rok, is a brand that attracts attention around the world and is gaining popularity by introducing unique designs. Hwang Rok was born in Korea and has been successfully active in the global market, and his designs are evaluated as being bold and incorporating a modern sensibility.
This collaboration collection with H&M consists of women’s clothing, men’s clothing, and accessories, and special products exclusively for Korea and Japan will also be released.
Locke Creative Director Hwang Rok said, “As a designer born in Korea, I am always inspired by Seoul. I am very happy to be able to communicate with fans who love Locke in a colorful and vibrant place like DDP.”
Anne-Sophie Johansson, Head of Womenswear Design at H&M, said, “Hwang Rok is a designer with an international perspective, and Korean heritage has a great influence on his collections. We are delighted to be able to introduce our collaboration with Rok in Seoul, and we hope fans will enjoy the unique styling. “I am sure you will enjoy it,” he said.
The Locke H&M collection will be sold at select stores and H&M’s official online store starting on the 18th. In Korea, it can be purchased at 9 stores, including Jamsil Lotte World Mall, Busan Centum City Shinsegae Branch, Pangyo Hyundai Branch, Yongsan I’Park Mall Branch, Starfield Hanam Branch, Garosu-gil Branch, Daegu Dongseongro Branch, Hongdae Branch, and Starfield COEX Branch.
