After the Al-Icha and Taraouih prayers, verses from the Holy Quran were recited by the child Hajar Al Mourabit (11 years old, from the city of Tetouan), winner of the Mohammed VI National Prize for memorization, declamation and chanting of the Holy Quran. HM the King was then greeted by the young declaimer, to whom the Sovereign presented the Prize.

Subsequently, Bahae Eddine Mohamed Jamal Eddine Ennadoui, Alem of the Republic of India, delivered a speech before the Sovereign on behalf of the ulemas who participated in the religious talks of the holy month of Ramadan 1444, in which he expressed his thanks and deep gratitude to HM the King, Amir Al-Mouminine, for the welcome and hospitality extended to them throughout their stay in the Kingdom.

Mr. Bahae Eddine Mohamed Jamal Eddine Ennadoui thus underlined that religious talks bring together the elite of the ulemas each year to discuss multiple issues that interest the Islamic Umma and humanity as a whole, noting that HM King Mohammed VI continues the work of His Glorious Ancestors, the late HM King Mohammed V who had built the bonds of friendship and harmony, and the late HM King Hassan II who had laid the groundwork for the development of a modern Morocco.

The Sovereign then awarded the Mohammed VI “Ahl Al-Qurâan” and “Ahl Al-Hadith” Prizes, respectively to Abderrahim Naboulsi, from the city of Marrakech, and to Mohamed Benkirane, from the city of El Ksar El Kebir.

The Sovereign also awarded the Mohammed VI Prize for Koranic schools in its three categories to Mohamed Chakir from Ouarzazate (Prize for learning methodology), Mohamed Boulis from Larache (Performance Prize), and Mohamed Zaânouni from Tiznit ( management award).

HM the King then presented the Mohammed VI Prize for Adhan and Tahlil, created on the High Instructions of HM the King, Amir Al-Mouminine, in its two categories, respectively, to Youssef Ennaji of the city of Mohammedia (Prix de l Excellence) and to Mohamed El Hedar of the city of Nador (Honorary Prize).

At the end of this vigil, the audience raised prayers imploring the Almighty to preserve HM King Mohammed VI, Amir Al-Mouminine, to crown his initiatives with success, to bless his steps, to realize the aspirations that the Sovereign nourishes for the progress of his faithful people and to fulfill them in the person of HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan, HRH Prince Moulay Rachid and all the members of the illustrious Royal Family.

The faithful also raised prayers for the repose of the soul of the Father of the Nation, the late HM King Mohammed V and the late HM King Hassan II, may God have them in His holy mercy.

This vigil took place in the presence of the head of government, the presidents of the two Chambers of Parliament, advisers to HM the King, members of the government, representatives of the diplomatic corps of Islamic countries accredited to Morocco, senior officers of the General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces, ulemas who participated in the religious talks of the holy month of Ramadan, presidents of local councils of ulemas, elected officials, as well as other civil and military personalities.
