Madurai Reserve Line Sports Club conducts the state level aggi tournament at the aggi ground in Racecourse sports hall starting from last 24th till 30th. In this, the best teams in Tamil Nadu such as Indian Bank, Chennai team, G.S.T. and Central Excise Team, Chennai Team, Postal Hockey Club Chennai Team, Madurai Reserve Lion Sports Club Team, Ooty MRC Wellington Team, South Zone Police Madurai Team, Chennai City Police Team, Indian Overseas Bank Chennai Team, Thirunagar Hockey Team 24 teams including Club Madurai team, Southern Railway Chennai team, Chozha Trichy team, Madurai Vadipatti Aaki team and Tamil Nadu Police Chennai team participated. The league round interviews are going on for the last 2 days.
In the match held yesterday morning, Madurai Vadipatti team beat the Sports Development Authority of India team with the score of 4-1. In the next match, Madurai GK Motors defeated Chennai Indian Bank by 5-0.
In the evening match, Kovilpatti team won against Chennai Postal team by 3-2 and Chennai City Police team won by 2-0 against Ramanathapuram team.
With this, 12 teams have qualified for the pre-quarter final round. The matches will start at 6.30 am today. The final will be held on the 30th. The winning teams will be awarded Rajamani Memorial Trophy as first prize, Kanakamani Ammal Memorial Trophy as 2nd prize, Manokaran Memorial Trophy as 3rd prize, Soundararajan Memorial Trophy as 4th prize and prizes.
