Thiruvananthapuram: The trophy tour of the Hockey World Cup held in Odisha from January 13 to 29 will reach Kerala tomorrow. Kerala Hockey State Secretary CT Soji and Associate Vice President Nias K will receive the World Cup trophy for Kerala today from the Tamil Nadu Hockey representatives. The trophy will arrive at Thiruvananthapuram airport at 7 am tomorrow and will be received by Kerala Hockey officials and sportspersons. Then in Thiruvananthapuram District, LNCPE (10.30 am, SN College Chembazaranti (11.00 am), University College (11.45 am) and Women’s College (12.30 pm) will host the World Cup trophy reception. 4 pm for Kerala Kerala Hockey State President V.Sunil Kumar said that Speaker A.N. Shamseer will launch the World Cup trophy and inaugurate the reception at the Jimmy George Indoor Stadium. The tour of the World Cup trophy is scheduled in only 12 states and one union territory of India. Kerala is also included in this, he added.
