According to the organizers, the general objective of the workshop is to carry out the technical validation of the Citizen Methodological Guide for Dialogue and Advocacy for an Inclusive and Peaceful Transition

According to El hadj Diop, training manager at IFES Guinea, lhe results expected at the end of the workshop are as follows: the participants learned about the content of the citizen guide Methodological citizen guide for dialogue and advocacy for an inclusive and peaceful transition; The participants made relevant suggestions and recommendations to enrich the “Citizen’s Guide”; The Citizen Methodological Guide for Dialogue and Advocacy for an Inclusive and Peaceful Transition is amended and validated by the participants; Participants are trained on the advocacy methodology of relevant suggestions and recommendations to enrich the “Citizen’s Guide”; An advocacy implementation roadmap is adopted.
Speaking, Danielle Carnes, representative of USAID said that civil society plays an essential role in representing the interests of citizens within a democracy by providing a platform to express their concern, defend their rights and influence the public policies.

For his part, Mountaga Sylla, Country Director Representative of the International Foundation for Electoral Systems said that this activity is part of the implementation of one of the key objectives of the STEP project.

I am talking about a previous initiative because there is a formal dialogue framework in place. But there is a framework for inclusive dialogue with the religious that the STEP project is supporting in order to be able to reconcile positions. We are happy to see that there is progress. As if to say that Peace and dialogue is a continuous process. The project will continue to work formally with you as part of the SINCERE initiative“, he indicated.
For her part, Hadja Nanfadima Magassouba of the Network of Former Women Ministers and Parliamentarians, on behalf of the participants, thanked IFES for this initiative and the technical and financial partners for the support.
According to this former minister, this document (Guide) will make it possible to federate the interventions in relation to the pleas during this transition in the country.
