Holiday vouchers can soon be used to pay for a train ticket online

by time news

The update of the site and the SNCF Connect application which should allow this development is planned “during the month of May”.

It’s a small development, but it will be appreciated by holiday voucher holders. The new version of SNCF connect, which should be made available in May, will make it possible to pay for train tickets online with holiday vouchers.

It was already possible to use this means of payment, but the process was complex and limited. It was indeed necessary to put an option online on the OUI.sncf application, which later became SNCF Connect, and to go to the store to confirm and pay for the order. A time-consuming and impractical process that could discourage more than one.

A code to enter

With this announcement, SNCF intends to make the use of this means of payment more accessible. Updating the SNCF Connect website and applicationduring the month of Mayshould allow users to pay for a train ticket by entering a holiday voucher code, previously dematerialized on the ANCV website (National Agency for holiday vouchers). However, the group specifies that it will always be possible to use them in an agency or in a store. This benefit offered by companies allows 4.5 million employees and civil servants to finance leisure activities each year. Holiday vouchers are accepted as a means of payment by nearly 200,000 tourism professionals.
