In Spain or elsewhere, you may be one of those who have chosen to wait until the last week of August to go on vacation. Indeed, this last week often displays lower rates.
More and more French people are tempted to go on vacation at the end of August in order to pay less. This is particularly the case of Sandy Lucin, trader on a market. This mother wants to treat herself to a vacation in Corsica this year and celebrate her birthday there. “The initial choice was really to be on August 20 on the beach in Corsica“, she says. Problem, at this date the prices are still too high, so she decides to postpone her stay.
Plus 15% reservations
“We realized that the price was divided by three if we took the last week. We go almost from 2,900 euros to 900 and something. I’m a single mom with a 15 year old and it wasn’t possible”, she continues. Like her, more and more French people are going on summer vacation the last week of vacation. We thus observe +15% of reservations compared to the same period last year.
