Hollywood actor Sean Penn presented his Oscar award to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. Zelensky also posted a video of himself with Penn on his Telegram channel. The video also shows Zelensky presenting Penn with the nation’s Order of Merit.
Apart from being a world-class actor, Sean Penn is also active in political activism. In March, the Hollywood actor gave his first televised interview since Russia invaded Ukraine. In the interview, Sean Penn also talked about his meetings with Ukrainian President Zelensky.
‘He saw Zelensky the day before the invasion. They then met again in the immediate days of the invasion. I don’t know if he knows he was born for this. “They showed us many things that are new to the modern world in terms of bravery, dignity, love, and the way we united our country,” Sean Penn said in an interview with CNN.
Sean Penn is a Hollywood actor, director and producer. The Sean Penn documentary was filmed in Ukraine during the height of Russia’s occupation. Sean Penn also attended the press conference along with Deputy Prime Minister Iryana Vereshchuk.
Filming of the Sean Penn documentary begins in November last year. The documentary was produced by Vice Studios. A two-time Oscar winner for Best Actor, Shawn is active in anti-war campaigns. In 2010, he went to the disaster area in Haiti and participated in volunteer activities and acted in the documentary Citizen Penn directed by Don Hardy.
