The pacemaker that Hombres G brought to Caracas beat in the almost four thousand people who gathered on Tuesday night for the first of two concerts in the country.

Led by David Summer, Rafa, Daniel and Javier had the support of two Venezuelan trumpeters on stage, whom “I thank for joining us for this comeback,” said the Spaniard when introducing them.

For two hours, the quartet celebrated its 40-year tour and we continue to begin, with a trip to the past to which it took its followers, who began to chant from the time the Venetian opera opened the presentation, until the chorus of the pica pica of “ Give me back my girl” closed the concert.

The audience, dominated mostly by contemporaries of the band, was also dotted with young people who, under the influence of their parents, learned songs like “Temblando”, “Crocodile Girls”, “La carretera”, “Voy a pasármelo bien” ”, “Nassau”, “Let your hair down”, “A couple of words” and “Marta has a pacemaker”.

At the time of the false ending, Summer recalled that Hombres G, in the 80s, had one of their best places in Venezuela. “And we have carried them in our hearts. We don’t want it to take so long to come back.” The last show of hers was in the same place, 13 years ago.

Pedro Castillo opened the night with songs like “Algo electrico”, “Amplificador” and “Victoria”. And he remembered that, 18 years ago, he was also the opening act for the band, but at the Teresa Carreño.
