Attack at home in the 16th arrondissement of Paris. A trio of criminals broke into an apartment occupied by a family this Tuesday, October 24 afternoon, undoubtedly with the aim of kidnapping them and robbing them. Around 1:45 p.m. in the area of rue Greuze, the bandits posed as meal delivery men in order to have the door opened. A woman, believed to be a domestic worker, is immobilized by a man dressed in a yellow vest and a cap, while his two accomplices begin to search the home. The struggling employee was reportedly beaten before being tied up.
Home attacks on the rise
According to our information, the father was warned of the attack thanks to his video surveillance system and intervened, armed with a hammer, to scare away the thugs. They left the scene by car. Investigators from the Paris judicial police were tasked by the prosecution with finding the attackers. The victim was taken to the Ambroise Paré hospital in Boulogne-Billancourt (Hauts-de-Seine) to receive treatment.
This type of attack has been increasing in recent weeks in the Paris region. A family of Asian origin was violently attacked on the night of October 7 at their home on Boulevard Saint-Martin (IIIe). During the previous night, a woman and her children suffered the same type of mishap in Raincy (Seine-Saint-Denis). Tied up for a cell phone, they were not, however, assaulted. For the record, on September 27 in Yvelines, the TV host, Bruno Guillon, was also kidnapped with his entire family by a gang of four bandits who had seized loot of 80,000 euros.
