New Delhi : Prime Minister of Punjab (Prime MinisterHome Minister Amit Shah has demanded that the Congress leaders apologize to the people for the security breach during the visit. Amit Shah tweeted that he had seen a trailer of how the Congress party thinks and works in Punjab. He also said that the constant rejection of the people had led the Congress to the path of insanity.
The Union Home Ministry has sought an explanation from the Punjab government on the incident. The Union Home Ministry has also demanded action against those responsible for the security breach. Today, the Prime Minister’s convoy was stranded on a flyover for more than 15 minutes on its way to Ferozepur following protests by farmers’ organizations.

The incident took place on the way to attend a rally in Ferozepur to pay homage at the Hussainiwala National Monument. Protesters blocked the road at the flyover. The Prime Minister’s meeting in Ferozepur was canceled due to a security breach. The Prime Minister skipped the trip to Hussainiwala and returned to Bathinda.

The first decision was to go to Hussaini Valley by helicopter. However, the weather was unfavorable due to the rains in northern India and the Prime Minister was scheduled to travel by road.

Protesters blocked the prime minister on a flyover just 30 kilometers from Hussein. The Prime Minister and his entourage were trapped on the flyover for 15-20 minutes.
