(ANSA) – NAPLES, SEPTEMBER 18 – Two doctors from the Melito di Napoli medical emergency service were attacked last night by three women and two men after the health workers, a 31-year-old and a 38-year-old, refused to make a home visit to one of their relatives.
A patrol of the Carabinieri of the lieutenancy intervened on the spot. The two doctors went independently to the emergency room of the hospital of Giugliano in Campania for minor injuries to the head and neck. Investigations by the military of the weapon are underway to trace the identity of the five attackers.
The association Nessuno Tocchi Ippocrate on its Facebook profile has released a video of the incident (FNe) in which images can be seen of the doctors being hit with chairs by their attackers.
“No words are needed to describe the attack,” the association comments, “the video speaks for itself. In the ASL Napoli 2 Nord it is the 18th attack of 2024, 56 total attacks between Napoli 1 and Napoli 2 since the beginning of the year.” (ANSA).
