Violent deaths in Brazil reached the lowest level in 12 years, according to data from the 17th Brazilian Public Safety Yearbook published this Thursday (20).
The fall slowed down between 2021 and 2022, but has maintained a trend since 2018. 47,508 lives were lost in the group that groups the crimes of intentional homicide, robbery, bodily injuries followed by deaths and deaths due to police intervention.
