As of this Monday morning, Olivier Klein, the interministerial delegate for the fight against racism, anti-Semitism and anti-LGBT hatred (DILCRAH), said he was “shocked” by these chants. “With DILCRAH, I will contact PSG and the professional football league so that sanctions can be taken. We will also study the possibilities of taking legal action,” he wrote on social networks.
In the process, Amélie Oudéa-Castéra, the Minister of Sports and the Olympic Games, invited “PSG to file a complaint to identify the perpetrators and bring them to justice, so that they are removed from the stadiums”. On Twitter, she calls for “eradicating” these chants from stadiums.
The club will bring together all the parties concerned to decide on the position to adopt on possible prosecutions or on a possible complaint, as requested by the minister. In its press release, the club explains that it “intends to further strengthen its prevention work in the fight against homophobia and will meet all of its partners on this essential subject in the coming days”.
